Many of the ad platforms that Shape supports have a Change History within the ad platform. The change history report typically shows when a change was made, by whom, and what type of change was made, and what elements were impacted.
Similarly, Shape also has a change history within our own platform to show when changes are made to campaigns either by individual users or by Shape's automation functionality.
Who will appear as the user (who made a change) in the Ad Platform's Change History?
Google Ads (incl. Youtube) & Bing Ads
If a user in Shape makes a change to a Google Ads or Bing Ads Campaign, then the change will appear in the Google or Bing Change Histories attributed to the email/data source linked to the budget.
To tell which emails/data sources are linked to a specific budget, navigate to the budget. Click the "Add & Remove Campaigns" button near the top of the screen.
On the "Add & Remove Campaigns" form you can see which data sources have been linked to the budget (and therefore will display in the change history).
Facebook Ads (Incl. Instagram Ads)
If a user in Shape makes a change to a Facebook Ads Campaign, then the change will appear in the Facebook Change History attributed to the name of the person associated with the email/data source linked to the budget.
To tell which emails/data sources are linked to a specific budget, navigate to the budget. Click the "Add & Remove Campaigns" button near the top of the screen.
On the "Add & Remove Campaigns" form you can see which data source email has been linked to the budget. The first and last name of the person who is associated with that email in the Facebook/Meta platform will appear in the Facebook Change History.
Twitter Ads
In the Twitter Ads interface, you can access the "Change History" by hovering over the campaign name and clicking "History."
Change from Shape will appear as from the @twitter handle using "Ads API."
LinkedIn Ads
LinkedIn Ads does not currently have a public-facing change history accessible from the LinkedIn Ads platform.
Tik Tok Ads & Pinterest Ads
Shape's integrations with TikTok and Pinterest Ads is a one-way integration. This means that Shape cannot push any changes to campaign status or daily budget to these platforms. Therefore, there will be no records of changes from Shape to TikTok Ads or Pinterest Ads.
