Change History now Includes Automation Adjustments

Release Date: March 31, 2021

Shape’s powerful PPC budget automation tools help you keep campaigns in control. To give you deeper insight into what changes our automation tools are making on your behalf, we’ve launched our updated Change History with new automation data.

Navigate to the Change History page to view changes made by team members and Shape automation tools. The updated change history displays “who” made a change (and when), what change was made, and what budgets and campaigns it impacted.

CruiseControl Alert

Release Date: March 29, 2021

CruiseControl is a powerful feature that Shape users can utilize to help evenly pace their campaigns throughout the month. As part of the feature, digital advertisers need to set daily budget Maxs and Mins to act as upper and lower boundaries. These ensure Shape will not increase or lower your daily budgets more than you are comfortable with.

Shape automatically set Min and Max thresholds; however, we highly suggest Shape users set their own when they create a new budget with CruiseControl enabled or add campaigns to a budget with CruiseControl.

An error message will now appear for new Shape users warning them that Min and Max daily budgets need to be set, approximating what will automatically be set, and alerting the user where to edit their Mins and Maxs.

The error message that will appear looks like:

Historical Budget Report

Release Date: March 29, 2021

Shape has refreshed the Historical RollOver Report and given it a new name: the Historical Budget Report. Access historical Budget Amounts, Costs, RollOver, and more for all your budgets (regardless if RollOver is enabled or not). Don’t worry, you can still filter by RollOver status if you want!

We’ve added Target Amount (last cycle’s RollOver + budget amount) and Next Cycle’s RollOver (Target Amount - Cost) to give you extra clarity into all your Budgets’ spends. To access the Historical Budget Report, look for the Company Reports page.

Budget Scheduling Design Update

Release Date: March 22, 2021

Shape's updated Budget Scheduler launched in January. But we heard from some customers that the new design was creating confusion about what upcoming changes were scheduled.

We've updated the Budget Scheduler to fix that. The new timeline shows when future budget amounts are scheduled to change. Also, it more clearly displays what budget amounts will be going forward.

When a future budget change is scheduled, it will be highlighted on the timeline with a "Scheduled" tag, the new budget amount, and the date it will be applied. If a budget cycle is grey, the budget amount will remain the same as the last one set.

Remove Pending Team Member Invitations

Release Date: March 18, 2021

You can now delete pending team member invitations from Shape. Previously, you had to reach out to support to do so. Now, when you navigate to a pending team member's name on the Team Management page, click the edit button (pencil icon) for a team member and click the "Remove" button.

Updated Date Format for Sheets and Excel

Release Date: March 12, 2021

Previously, when dates were downloaded from a Shape table (such as a decision grid) dates would appear as: Mon Mar 01 2021 00:00:00 GMT-0800 (Pacific Standard Time).

Dates have been simplified to: Mar 1, 2021 to reduce the need for users to reformat these dates in their own reporting.
