What is the Shape API?
Updated over a year ago

The Shape API

The Shape API is a universal, easy-to-use API that provides digital advertisers access to 6 ad platforms in one. With the Shape API, advertisers and agencies can access data from Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, TikTok Ads, and Pinterest Ads quickly and efficiently.

The Shape API is the easiest and most flexible way to access digital advertising data. The Shape API provides extensive cross-channel support. Your agency no longer needs to build and maintain API integrations with each ad platform. Our engineers regularly monitor ad network API releases and update our integrations accordingly.

How are the Shape API and Shape ADI (Advertising Data Infrastructure different)?

The Shape API and Shape ADI are fantastic data advertising products for agencies considering building their own advertising technology.

The Shape API is a standalone API that developers can utilize to access robust data from 6 ad platforms. Developers make calls to the API and store the data in their own systems and solutions. The API is useful for companies that want to access data from 6 ad platforms but may already have data warehouses and/or tools in place to feed data.

The Shape ADI combines the Shape API, a BigQuery data warehouse, and integrations with top Business Intelligence tools into a complete advertising data infrastructure. The ADI aggregates, normalizes, and stores data pulled from the Shape API daily into a managed BigQuery data warehouse. The data is then made available in Google BigQuery along with popular BI tools such as Google Data Studio/Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Tableau, Looker, Domo, and Power BI. The ADI is useful for companies that have yet to build infrastructure to store PPC advertising data and/or companies that are just starting to build their own advertising technology.
